I learned to knit
as a child and since then every few years I've knit a
simple sweater. Only recently have I added it to my bag of craft
passions and begun to focus on making scarves, wraps, stoles, mufflers,
shawls, hats, caps, bags, wrist warmers and other fashionable
but very practical accessories.
I'm drawn to the vibrantly colored and
variously textured yarns available today, many of them hand-dyed and
spun. I especially love working with natural and exotic fibers,
including silk, hemp, cotton, linen, cashmere, merino and other wools and have learned that
there are some exciting blends incorporating synthetic
fibers with natural ones for soft, durable mixes.
